You May ask, why later in March? The Canadian Rockies can get bone chilling cold in mid-winter, ruining part of your experience while creating icy conditions. In mid-late March it is still mid-winter in the Canadian Rockies, but with a very small chance of Sub-Zero temps to create an unpleasant experience. "March Break" a Major Canadian Holiday falls between March 13th and March 20th, this creates big crowds & higher prices that week so the week after is just a perfect time to experience Banff in its full splendor.
